Dan Crask

Instructor

Dan discovered his passion for diving during a vacation in Thailand.  He has used his experience as a mental health clinician and educator to bring a higher level of professionalism to the SCUBA experience.  Dan enjoys working with students of all levels and prides himself in helping folks who need a little more attention.  Now retired, he enjoys living by the beach, riding bicycles through the rolling California hills and is up for any travel challenge.  The warmer the water, the better, but he is invariably impressed by the beauty of the California coastal ecosystem.

Dov Rohan

Instructor

Dov fell in love with diving the moment he took is first breath underwater in the Caribbean Sea on the shores of Utila, Honduras in 2009. After completing his PADI Open Water course, NAUI Advanced Open Water course, and Enriched Air Nitrox specialty he continued on from Utila with a new long-term goal for life…explore the whole underwater world. He has since been in such remote places as the islands and atolls of Belize, the Red Sea from Dahab Egypt, the Andaman Sea from Koh Phi Phi Thailand (where he worked as a Dive Master 2010 and Instructor 2011), and many places throughout South East Asia including Vietnam, Bali, Lembongan, and the Gili Islands in Indonesia. Moving back to his hometown of Santa Cruz, California he couldn’t stay dry and found his way into Aqua Safaris in 2013.When not teaching, Dov works as a music producer and is often spotted at Main Beach playing beach volleyball. He also loves to work in his garden and do anything outdoors.

Caitlin grew up in Santa Cruz and, from an early age, was in love with the water. She enjoys all kinds of diving and loves learning new aspects of the sport. She enjoys working with Reef Check California, gathering data on the rocky reef system up and down the California coast line. There is always something to learn, and she is constantly adding more specialties to her list.

Monterey and Carmel have her favorite dive sites in the world! She also enjoys driving up north and diving along the Sonoma and Mendocino coast lines. It is fun to get away to warm water locations but, when she does go, she just can’t wait to come home and dive Monterey.

     john        John Tamagni

                 Instructor

Born and raised in Monterey county, John found his love for diving watching shark week as a kid. He got certified to specifically to dive with sharks. While he was a dive master on his first hammerhead shark dive in Hawaii, he saw something else in person he had been extremely interested in. He watched as a diver could get extremely close to the easily spooked hammerhead sharks on rebreathers and stay down for extended period of time. He was sold from that moment on. He worked on becoming a rebreather diver and never looked back. It actually pushed him to become an instructor because he wanted to teach it more than anything, he wanted divers to see what they were missing. John’s list of favorite dive sites around the world is simple, he loves all Monterey dive sites. He can’t wait to get back to it. If he is not diving or shooting underwater photography you can find him fishing.
