This is the  leadership course that enables you to actively participate in teaching people how to SCUBA dive. Many SCUBA divers can recall the Assistant Instructor (AI) that taught them how to dive—a dive “super person.”Learn how to best help someone learn to SCUBA dive, and at the same time perfect your diving and teaching skills. As a PADI Assistant Instructor, you will be able to independently conduct many PADI programs or choose to go on to an Instructor Development Course. You will meet a lot of wonderful people, increase your interpersonal, communication and teaching skills and be left with a tremendous sense of satisfaction. AI or Divemaster certification is a prerequsite to becoming a SCUBA instructor.

Certified Dive Master, 18 years or older

This is a one-on-one course with your instructor acting as mentor.  You and your instructor will tailor a schedule to meet your needs.  WHERE:

NECESSITIES:

As an Assistant Instructor, you will need to have all of your SCUBA equipment including:

•     PADI Instructor Pack
•     regulator with console and octo (all serviced within the past year)
•     BC
•     wet suit (suitable for Monterey conditions) or dry suit
•     hood
•     dive knife
•     whistle
•     small slate
•     log book

***ALL EQUIPMENTMUST BE IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER***
